A professional consultant on child's behaviour problems & nutrition!

Salam to all of you patient strong mamas reading this post :) I'm super excited about today's interview, it is with one of my top favorite influencers in the motherhood journey. Noha Abu-Sitta is one of the most successful women in the career of positive parenting , she is a certified positive discipline parent educator (Dr.Jane Nelson & Lynn Lot). She is also a certified health coach (Dr. William Sears wellness center). She delivers many useful courses and regularly appears on Tv shows. I personally attended her course "The 5 languages of love) and it helped me a lot to understand my kids as well as my husband and myself :) On top of all the above, Noha is a beautiful hardworking mama of a lovely girl and a boy,she always strives to offer the best to her family and the whole world. To know more about Noha and benefit from her regular courses check her Facebook page. Now let's get started with our interview!

1) Being a mom is a full time job - how do you manage a good balance between your work and your family duties?

To be honest with you, I'm not sure if i'm maintaining a good balance between all these or not. I'm not sure if someone is capable of giving a precise recipe for a good balance or whether it can be accurately defined or even achieved! We usually think that a good balance means we are giving each role its full right which in my belief is kind of impossible to do. We try our best to fulfill our roles in life as much as we can but "Jack of all trade, master of none". I try to relief my conscious though, that when i do something, i try to give it my best as much as i can, not just do it and get it done with, and if i wont be able to do it right, then id rather postpone it if i can. Also i try to manage my time as much as i can so I plan a slot for each role i have in life which doesnt always work as planned, but i try. It is very important to assure myself every now and then that in the end I'm human, with limited time and limited energy and capacity so i try not to be too harsh on myself.

2) Give us top three tips to a productive "less-stressed" day?

Planning, realistic expectations, flexibility and accepting the fact that the only one you can control is yourself and your plans will almost always include others that might turn them all upside down so get ready with plan b and c.

3) If you would give us the most important advice for our "children wellness" what would it be?

We need to focus on raising happy, reliable and capable kids. We need to learn how to instill specific values in them that will help them thrive life not just survive it.

4) What is your top advice on staying motivated & inspired throughout your motherhood journey?

Einstein said: If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal not to people or things". Try to stay focused on the big picture, not be sucked into the smaller one that will limit your perspective and inflate your challenges. I love how Khalil Gibran puts it: Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

5) Tell us the one secret behind being a modern successful mom.

There is no secret behind that :) and i wish i'm a good mum for my children because i always think i should do better. I try as hard as i can to keep learning about their development, their emotional and psychological needs and what to expect from and deal with each age group.Knowledge is a key to any change or success we'd like to make.
I also see them as my close friends and i trust them and take their opinion in a lot of things related to my life and work.
I believe God rewards us for our intention and our endeavours to do our best, not for the results we achieve because these are in His hands. I pray that I'm a builder in my children's life not a barrier and i hope one day they'd pray for my soul.

That was the end of our interview, I hope you benefit from it as much as I do! Please share with me your thoughts and questions on the comment bar below, have a happy productive stress-less day mamas :)
